It is more important to have a dream, even if it is too ambitious to have a realistic goal

例文

It sounds logical and reasonable that ambitious dreams are considerably significant especially for young people since dreams are capable of driving people on the way to chase a life of higher quality. However, this view fails to take objective factors into account, in reality, realistic goals are able to bring more benefits in most case than ambitious dream.

It is known to us, ambitious dreams are always difficult to realize. For most adolescents, in the process of chasing their ambitious dreams, they will meet a lot of obstacles and hard time which will make them down and give up. Only a extremely small number of them can overcome this difficulty and insist their dream. In my class, almost every classmate want to enter the Qinghua University, which is the best university in my country， but in fact, in the process of we are chasing our dream, more and more student give up the dream because no matter how hard they work, still are too far away from the dream. Even some of them don’t work hard any more because they lose their confidence and hope. Consequently, I don’t think ambitious dream should be recommended for young people.

What’s more, I firmly hold the opinion that we can realize our dream by finish realistic goals step by step other than ambitious dreams at the first. It is true that in the process of finishing small and realistic goals, we can enhance and improve our ability and confidence. I would like to use my own experience to illustrate this point. When I was a child, I was good at playing basketball and I loved it. I have a dream to be a professional basketball player as my future career. One day, I told my dream to my mom, my mom told me that I should be the school team first and to be the best player first. Dream can not be realized by words or thoughts. It depends on hard work and nature gift. After the conversation, I took part in the school basketball team and be the best of them, now I am captain of my university basketball team. In the process, I enhanced my skills and confidence, improved my ability to communicate with my teammates, learn how to be a teamwork player. My next goal is too help my university to get no. 1 in the city games, I know those improvement are able too help me to realize my dream.

In addition, by finishing some realistic goals, we can easily improve our living condition and we can get more resource what we need to get success. Based on all the information I mentioned above, it is logically to make a conclusion that realistic goals are able to bring more benefits in most case than ambitious dream.

The reading passage states that white orca spotted in Alaska and the one spotted in Russia can not be the same individual,  however the lecture hold the different opinion,  the professor believes that it is possible they are the same individual.

The reading passage believe that the two white orcas are different individual because there are slight difference in their skin color. However, the professor does not agree with the idea because he points out the skin color of white orca will change as the change or season, thus it can not be reason why the two white orca are not same individual.

The professor put forward the point that different groups of orcas have different life styles, the mammal hunting group: remains near the coast as the passage says,  but the fishing hunting group can travel 2000 kilometer in the open ocean, which directly opposing the idea that the two white orca are not same individual because they are found far away described in the reading passage.

The reading passage indicate that the different-age white orcas has same size of dorsal fin, so they are not same species. On the other side, the professors point out the dorsal fin will not grow when the orcas is 20 years old. So it is inaccurate to estimate the age of the orcas by its dorsal fins.
