一．考试总体概述

本次考试难度有所增加，但是独立口语题是常见题型，不同的只是题目换了一种问法，我们依旧可以用万能理由中的“缓解压力”进行两个题的回答。综合口语题中Task3和5依旧保持了以往的考试难度，类型也并没有大的变化。但是难点在于Task4和6，在这两个题中，词汇量的考察有所增加，并且Task6并没有一直延续以往的“生物题”的考试规律，这次的考题和以往的常考题型有所区别。以下是这次考试的具体解析：

 

二． 题目解析

Task1

What can parents do to help their children succeed in school?

教师解析：家长可以做些什么帮助孩子在学校里获得成功？这道题是典型的“询问建议”的题目，那么我们只要对应“succeed”给出合理的建议都是可以的。当然，建议不仅仅可以从学习的角度出发，也可以从人际交往，排解压力的角度进行分析，只要是对学习有好处的，或者对校园生活有好处的事情我们都可以建议孩子去做。

Sample answer：

For me, I think there are two things parents can do to help their children succeed in school.

At first, parents can ask their children to take some exercises. Students now are always under too much pressure. For example, some of them have to take at least 9 classes at school and after that they will use another 2 or 3 hours to finish their school assignments. What they need to do badly is taking some spinning courses or TRX courses at gym, in this way, they can release their pressure and tense feelings from hard study, and so, they can focus on their study better.

Besides, parents can also let their children to join some school activities; cuz being succeed in school is not necessarily being good at academic study. Those activities can provide children with a good chance to practice their leadership and organizational skills, which are pretty important for them in the future.

 

Task2

Do you agree or disagree that students should join some social activities, such as joining clubs or sports groups?

教师解析：是否同意学生应当参加一些社会活动？加入俱乐部，或者运动组织。这道题其实很简单，可以用到我们托福独立口语题中的8个常用模版，可以多从参加俱乐部或者运动组织的好处来展开讨论，比如，参加这些活动，我们可以放松自己更好的学习，当然参加这些社团活动我们也可以认识更多的朋友来扩大我们的交际圈，这些思路都是可以的。

Sample answer：

Personally speaking, I definitely agree with the statement that students should join some social activities.

First of all, students now are pretty busy; they truly need some time to take a break. For example, my life is occupied by all the school stuff, I have jobs, school assignments and kinds of classes, and I even have to prepare for my TOEFL test on weekends. So, it would be nice if I could join some clubs, so, I can use this period of time to relax my body and mind at the same time and after that I can definitely get ready for the next stage of study.

What’s more, it’s also a good chance to know more friends. For example, I joined the reading club last year and in there, I met Bree who is one of my best friends now. The reason why we could become best friend was that I found that she was so interested in one of my favorite novel named “Dear John” and after that we had so much to talk to each other and then we became best friend gradually.

So, those are the reasons why I agree with the statement.

 

Task3

Reading: car rent service on campus

Reason1: students can rent car on-campus and drive it off-campus, which can make it easier for students to travel.

Reason2: students who cannot afford a car, now they have chance to access to it.

Listening: the woman agrees with the proposal.

Reason1: the campus is so far away from the town, and the bus is 2 hour for a run. It will take hours to go to town by bus and if you wanna visit several places, it may take you a long time.

Reason2: as a student, she cannot afford a car. Apart from the cost of the car, the money of repairing is also high. So car rent service is a good thing to do.

 

Task4

Reading: buffering 缓冲作用

Definition sentence: in order to be less aggressive to the stronger animals, the weaker animals always use a baby as a buffer to approach to the stronger animals.

Listening: the professor talks about a monkey in Japan, in a group, the stronger monkeys always at the first line of food, and when the weaker monkey approach to them, the stronger monkeys always attack the those weaker ones, leaving few food to those weaker ones. After that those weaker ones will borrow baby monkeys from their mother, it picks it up and carries it in front of those stronger ones. As a result, those stronger ones does not feel offended, and even share some food to those weaker ones.

Task5

Problem: the woman has a schedule problem. She promises her sister to look after her baby, when her sister is out for a concert with her husband tonight, but she forgets she has a history essay need to be done.

Solution1: she needs to cancel the schedule and make the couple go to the concert other day.

Disadvantage: the ticket cannot be get day changed or refunded.

Solution2: she can take some books with her and she can look after the baby at her sister’s place. She can finish her essay while the baby goes to sleep.

 

Task6

Topic: how the method of building changed from the past to the current days.

Past: they used thick stone to build the base and the wall of high buildings. In this way, the thick stone can hold up the heavy weight on the top.

Drawbacks: it would make the inside room small and cramped.

Example: the castle

Now: they like to use steel, a relatively thin steel can hold up more weight.

Example: office building, the use of steel can make the space big and copious.

三． 备考策略

托福口语考试没有捷径，只能通过日复一日的持续练习，这样才会得到一个理想的分数。在此基础上我们还需要做的就是加大巩固自己的词汇量，提高阅读速度和听力的准确度，这样三者合一才可以在托福口语的考试中取得一个不错的成绩。
