When classmates or colleagues communicate about a certain project, it is better for them to work in person than by E-mails.

此题重复了2014年1月17日北美地区的题目，各大机经预测的题目都没有押中这题。所以，还是实力的培养更加重要。

这篇题目我们讲应用“让步结构”来回答这个题目：

1：引入背景：办公室自动化，邮件沟通变得普遍；提出观点，认为与面对面沟通相比，邮件能更好的帮助员工完成项目。

2：提出应用邮件好处1：能够克服距离，帮助一些国际化的公司有效完成任务。举例。

3：提出应用邮件好处 2： 能够让一个大型团队的任务分配更加方便。举例。

4：承认面对面沟通有其好处并且举例证明。这以后，要说明现代化的进程使得邮件办公变成主流。这使得邮件变成必要的沟通工具。

5：总结邮件沟通的好处，说明通过邮件完成任务会是更好的选择。

Office automation has emerged a new working pattern for companies around the world, revolutionizing the way people communicate. One of the essential tools is e-mail, through which pictures, videos, and words can be exchanged to carry out certain tasks. Some people argue that using emails to complete projects is a better option than discussing over projects in person. However, from my perspective, in most cases, utilizing e-mails to work on projects will be more efficient  than simply working in person.

First of all, e-mail is the only option to carry out certain projects that requires long-distance communication. For example, outsourcing has become a normal way for some Game Designing companies in the States to minimize its cost in labor. By communicating with the artists in China through e-mails, the manager in charge of a  art project set standards by which the art works should be created. According to the standards, Chinese employees will come up with a sample, which will later be sent to their American employers who will evaluate whether the sample art work is qualified or not. Eventually, Chinese employees are allowed to finished the rest part of the projects. E-mail has been frequently exchanged to make sure the project is exactly what the customers want. Despite of the long distance, the project is to be carried out efficiently because of the aid of e-mail.  Obviously, By using emails, people can overcome some inconvenience, such as long distance, joining force to work on a project.

Furthermore, A group project consisted of more than 50 employees may require e-mails to keep track of each member's work. For example, a group that is working on an Encyclopedia mainly depends on e-mails. The chief editor will assign different tasks so that each task will be completed in time. In order to monitor the whole team, it is necessary for him to be reminded of how individual task proceeds. In the end, He can easily collect assignments attached in e-mails for the final editing work. Were it not for the convenience brought by e-mails, it would be impossible for him to complete such an enormous project.

None of above argues that the traditional way of working on a project offer no advantages. For example, meeting in person allows colleagues to discuss over some details immediately. Thanks to this pattern of cooperation, problems can be solved instantaneously. However, the globalization has made it necessary to carry out increasing amount of larger projects. Meanwhile, the office automation is also quickly sweeping across the globe, which demands wide application of e-mail.

In conclusion, regardless of the limited advantages provided by traditional pattern of corporation, completing projects by e-mails has become the dominant way in modern offices because e-mail can conquer the distance and be time-saving.  (460 words)
